After graduating from the University of Florida, John Henry Smith, CPA, began his career as a junior accountant at a well-regarded firm in St. Petersburg, FL. His forward-thinking approach quickly set him apart, helping him rise through the ranks by solving complex tax and accounting challenges. Despite the opportunity to stay in St. Petersburg, John Henry felt a strong calling to return to his hometown of Gainesville, FL, and open his own practice. In 1972, he made that vision a reality.​
